| all arguments i've seen have been WOT + shifting = bad (your argument). but for those of us who actually track their cars (circuits with turns), it increases your power level at lower RPMS. So you can drop it down into third at 3k RPM and pull out of a turn faster/harder/quicker etc... versus a similarly equiped 3.7x geared car. dunno what kind of mod this would be for drag racers... pretty sure you'd be out of first gear before the 60 foot. rough answer to all of this, it's all about increasing usable power. put those gears on a dyno, and you'll see the area under the curve increase dramatically. I'd love to see Mark/Zo dyno before installing them, then dyno after with out any other changes.
